What could be more delicious than sriracha, bacon and asparagus? This veggies side dish is super easy and super delicious!! All of these ingredients are some of my absolute favorites things to eat. It just makes sense they would be even better together!
- 1 pound of asparagus, cleaned and trimmed
- 5 slices of bacon,raw
- 1/4 cup sriracha
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, powder
Prep Time: 20 Minutes • Cook Time: 30 Minutes • Serves: 5
In a small bowl combine sriracha, lemon juice, cumin, onion powder, and garlic powder. Set aside. Divide asparagus into 5 bundles. Starting at the bottom of the bundle slowly wrap bacon in an upwards motion, pulling bacon taut. Place gently in a parchment paper lined baking pan. Liberally salt and pepper bundles. Using a silicone basting brush, glaze sriracha mixture over bundles. Flip bundles and repeat process. Glaze bundles and liberally salt and pepper.
Bake asparagus for 20 minutes on 350 degrees. To make the bacon crispy set bundles under the broiler for 3 minutes monitoring closely. Flip and broil the other side for 3 more minutes or until bacon is desires crispiness. Be very cautious not to leave it under the broiler for too long.
Bundles are ready to eat!! This dish is full of flavor and fun to eat!
